Learn how to use multiple users for the same project

Within your own organisation, if you have a Standard or North Star licence, you can have multiple users and projects at the same time.

How to create users

In the left sidebar, click Project Settings. Then click Project Users and finally Create User (at the top right). In this section, you can create as many users as you need.

Types of users for your organisation

You can have as many users as you need, each with different roles. In this case, there are three roles you can assign:

Administrator: with this role, you can edit the organisation's profile, projects and users, as well as modify billing information. You will also have all the permissions of a Manager.

Manager: create and edit projects, vehicles, customers, and all User permissions.

User: create and edit plans in an assigned project.

To select which of these three profiles best suits each of your users, you can access it as follows:

In the left sidebar, at the bottom, click on Profile. Then, click on Configuration and, finally, on Users.

Project users

After creating your projects and the different users participating in each one, you will also have the option to select the profile you want them to have in their assigned projects. Currently, there are 3 types of profiles:

1. Project manager

This is the role with the most comprehensive access within Routal.

It allows you to:

  • Create, edit, and delete plans, stops, users, vehicles, and clients.

  • Manage all permissions available to users.

  • Access and edit any section of the project.

It is ideal for administrators or project managers.

2. User

The User role is designed for team members who need to work directly on project operations but without access to critical settings.

It allows you to:

  • Create, optimise and edit plans.

  • Access operational elements such as routes, stops, vehicles and analyses, according to the specific permissions assigned.

The administrator can enable or disable additional permissions to suit each case.

3. Read-only

This role allows a user to view project information without the ability to edit or make changes.

Ideal for:

  • External supervisors

  • Customers who only need visibility

  • Team members who should not modify data

What is this functionality useful for?

With this functionality, you will have several types of levels of access to information. As an organization you can have many projects and users. However, with this option you will have the possibility to assign users to specific projects.
