How to organize Excel files so that it is compatible with Routal

Simple indications that will ensure the optimization of your plan!

For vehicle (drivers)

  1. Locate your information on the first page of the Excel file.

  2. Organize your information by columns.

  3. Give each column a title in the first row. These titles will later be related to the optimizer fields.

  4. The most important information is

  • Give your vehicle an identifier, for example a number, license plate or the name of your driver.

  • Give you a starting point address. We recommend writing it as detailed as possible

5. Depending on your operation, add additional information such as work hours, volume, weight and/or maximum stops.

For stops (deliveries)

  1. Locate your information on the first page of the Excel file.

  2. Organize your information by columns.

  3. Give each column a title in the first row. These titles will later be related to the optimizer fields.

  4. The most important information is

  • Give an identifier to your service - delivery, for example a company name or person who will receive the package.

  • Give you an address. We recommend writing it as detailed as possible, including street name, number, postal code, city, country, etc. For example: Passeig de García Faria, 77, 08019 Barcelona (Barcelona), Espanya

  • Address supplement should be located in a separate column. For example: floor, door, building.

5. Depending on your operation, add additional information such as reception
hours, order volume, order weight, comments, External ID, etc.
