With a Standard or North Star licence, your drivers can create and edit tasks from the Drivers App. This functionality will allow your drivers to create last minute tasks and record any unforeseen events.

How to do it

1) Enable tasks for your project

  1. Go to Project settings

  2. Activate the Tasks checkbox

2) Configure tasks

  1. Once enabled, from Project Settings go to Tasks in the menu bar.

  2. Enable the fields you want to use. You will be able to create more fields for your tasks from the "Custom fields" section.

3) Activate permissions

Give permissions to your drivers. To do so, you will need to follow the steps below:

  1. Access Drivers from Planner

  2. Click on Settings

  3. Check the box at Create and delete tasks.

How to create tasks from the App drivers

1. First you will need to define the scanning method, as you will be able to create tasks automatically just by reading the barcode. To do this, access the menu from Drivers (at the top) and choose either Camera or Scanner.

2. The next step is to create the tasks within each stop. To do this, when you click on Complete at the stop, you will be taken to the Tasks step.
Here, you can create it manually by clicking on "Create task," or automatically by scanning a barcode when you click on the barcode icon.

3. Finally, each task must be completed. If the tasks were created by scanning, they will already be marked as completed. If they were created manually, they will need to be completed. This can be done individually or in bulk by clicking "Next".

4. Having completed the tasks, to finish drivers will have to complete the stop by clicking on Complete stop.
