When a route has already been started, you can re-optimise the route plan at any time, either from Planner or from the Drivers webapp. This functionality is designed to help you manage unexpected changes and improve the efficiency of your operations on the fly.
How does it work?
- Current Location: The optimiser will take into account the current location of your drivers, allowing new routes to be more accurate and efficient.
- Completed or cancelled stops: Stops that have already been completed or cancelled will not be taken into account.
Steps to reoptimize a route
1. From Planner: Optimize using the same Optimize routes button. You can keep the current assignment or allow any of the pending stops to be assigned to another of your drivers. The system will recalculate the best route considering the current conditions.
2. From Drivers: Drivers also have the option to reoptimize their route directly from the application, making it easier to adapt immediately to any changes.
