Automatic Stop ID

In operations with many similar packages, finding the right box inside a vehicle can become an unnecessary waste of time for your drivers.

And when routes change — whether due to re-optimizations, new stops, or changes in order — maintaining a clear and stable reference becomes essential.

To solve this, Routal allows you to automatically generate a unique Stop ID when the driver starts the route. This identifier never changes, regardless of any modifications made to the route.

What is the Automatic Stop ID for?

The Stop ID is designed to give you a fixed and reliable reference throughout the entire operation.

Key benefits

  • Permanent identifier
Once generated, the ID does not change, even if the route is re-optimized or the stop order is modified.

  • Prevents loading confusion
You can write this ID directly on the box, package, or envelope before loading the vehicle.

  • Speeds up deliveries
The driver will know exactly which package to look for upon arriving at each stop.

How is it activated?

You only need to enable the Stop ID checkbox under: Drivers > Settings

From that moment on, the Automatic Stop ID will be generated automatically when the driver starts the route from the app.

What does the driver see in the app?

Once the route has started:

  • Each stop displays its unique ID.

  • The ID is clearly visible both in the stop list and inside the stop details.

  • Even if the route is re-optimized or reordered, the ID will remain the same.
